Class Levels

PUPPY
For dogs eight (8) weeks to five (5) months of age.  This class is designed to properly socialize young puppies so they do not become overly shy or aggressive; teach basic obedience lessons, and provide information through lectures on proper dog care and training.

NOVICE
A regular class for dogs six months of age or over.  This class is designed to demonstrate good canine companion skills such as heeling, both with and without a leash, coming when called, standing for a simple physical examination, and staying in both a sit and a down position with a group of other dogs.

ADVANCED NOVICE
Fine tuning what was learned in Novice, discovering common dog handling errors, and learning tips for better performance in an obedience trial, should one pursue an AKC Companion Dog title.

CONFORMATION
This class is intended for AKC registered dogs to prepare them and their owners to be presented in their best and most correct standards of their breed.

RING RUN-THRU
If you have a dog that is registered with the AKC and appreciate a test of ability compared to a standard of performance, you can enjoy another facet of obedience in the competitive sport of obedience trials.  The AKC offers several titles in obedience competition and this class will prepare you by practicing the exercises in a ring similarly set up like in competition.
