AKC-registered dogs may earn titles at all three levels (Novice, Open and Utility) from AKC after having a passing score (170 pts. out of possible 200) or "leg" in the respective class three times under three different approved AKC judges.  Titles earned are CD, CDX and UD for the respective classes.

Our club holds four AKC licensed trials each year.  Other clubs also hold licensed trials.  The trials are listed in the events in Hawaii section of http://www.akc.org/.  Write or call the event secretary if you are interested in receiving the "premium list" (list of officers, event info including ribbons and trophies), fill it out and submit it (must be received prior to the closure date).  Ask your instructor if you have any questions or need help.
