THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES HELD AT AIEA DISTRICT PARK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE CHECK BACK PERIODICALLY FOR ANY UPDATED INFORMATION. The City & County has not been able to repair the damaged field lighting system at this time. Therfore, Parks & Recreation will not allow classes to be held on the field for safety reasons.
We will NOT hold regular registration at Aiea District Park until further notice. Please plan on signing up for classes at one of our other three locations.

2012 Session I Class Schedule (January - April)

2012 Registration Information - Session I
Prior to Registration:
Required for Class Registration: Request a copy of your canine's current certificate of vaccination, immunization records, or signed titers letter from your veterinarian. Please have this documentation with you at the time of registration. OTCH registration volunteers cannot process and accept your Training Application without this information.
OTCH Canine Vaccination Requirements:
(D) Distemper
CHANGE: As of January 19, 2011 the (L) Leptospirosis vaccination is no longer required for attendance in OTCH training classes.
Please check your documentation to ensure coverage for Distemper, Hepatitis, & Parvovirus BEFORE registering for class. If your documentation does not clearly state coverage for these diseases, contact your veterinarian's office for assistance in obtaining the appropriate information.
Registration & Orientation:
If you are registering for an OTCH class for the first time, you must attend an orientation before signing-up for training classes. Orientation begins at the start of the registration hour and lasts approximately 30 minutes. You may complete and sign a Training Application after orientation.
Parking
Please abide by the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (ROH) sections pertaining to parking while attending OTCH classes at the various park locations. The adjacent residences, businesses, schools, and other park neighbors will be grateful for your cooperation. Some of the pertinent ROH sections are listed below for your convenience.

*Aiea District Park
Parking is available along Ulune Street or at one of the District Park's lots. One parking area is located on the corner of Aiea Heights Drive and Ulune Street (entrance). The second lot is located off of Aiea Heights Drive, adjacent to the Gym / Activites Room.
PLEASE DO NOT park in the Aiea High School lot. We won't be able to assist you with getting your vehicle out if the gate is locked.
*Enchanted Lake Community Park
Parking is available in the Community Park's lot.
*Crane Community Park
Street parking is available along Kaimuki Avenue fronting the park; convenient for registration and Obedience Class attendees. Additional street parking is located behind the park on Olokele Avenue and/or Leialoha Avenue; convenient for Conformation Class attendees.
PLEASE DO NOT park in Kaimuki High School's lot.
*Kamamalu Neighborhood Park
Street parking is available along Queen Emma Street. Royal School (across the street) has graciously allowed us to use their parking lot, UNLESS prohibited due to a school function. Kamamalu Neighborhood Park also has parking available in its lot along Pali Highway (heading Mauka just after the YMCA).
PLEASE DO NOT park in the YMCA's lot, the Pacific Club's lot, the bus stop, or along the bridge overlooking the H-1 freeway. |
